UPDATE: Thank you all for the donations. We've collected approx. USD 2600 and there is USD 1400 more coming in the form of tents from Denmark.
Helene has collected and donated a huge chunk to project led by the experienced bike riders of FORE. They are headed up to Golan above Melamchi Valley. (USD 1000)
Food and sanitary products, has been sent with another group led by Peter of Freespirit Adventure - Motorcycle Tours India & Nepal. They as well are going to the Melamchi Valley in the Sindupal Chowk region. The region has been visited by disaster relief forces, but areas were missed and are still unable even to cook water. (USD 80)
Rain suits were given to Nurse Teach Reach + two danish paramedics for their trips around the Kathmandu Valley. The monsoon is about to set in. (USD 80)
Two projects I want to support:
1. A project led by Kishor Lohani and backed by loads of volunteers including donations through Miranda Morton Yap. They are building community toilets and kitchen and setting up water purifications. (USD 500)
2. A truck going to Gorkha villages: Ghyamesal, Deureli, Naya sagu, Nareswor and others. Areas still left with nothing. They are in need of: food, shelter, diarrhea medicine, pain killers, antibiotics, etc. (USD 500) (with Urmila Thapa, Suxan Pokharel, medical donations from Nurse Teach Reach and Jens Banff Quitzau)
